Topic: Goran Fat Boy Overdrive Pedal - This one's for Joe!

Goran Custom Guitars Staff: "This pedal is on its way to the USA, currently somewhere over the Atlantic! Guess who will get the pedal?"

Goran has specially built Joe one of his Fat Boy Overdrive pedals. His hope is that Joe will enjoy it! Here's a link to a Facebook photo:

I believe Goran is sending the pedal to my place. If someone can contact me with a shipping address I can forward it to Joe!

P.S. This pedal is a monster - in the words of Billy Gibbons, ""Man, this thing is righteous! Please let the builder know how much we appreciate the kind gift. It is online and in service. Wow!!"

P.S.S. I don't work for anyone, just doing a favor for a friend. Sorry if this post is in any way untowards smile I don't do forums that often, and I would hate to offend local ways!

I can be found @ tonyc111659@hotmail.com - Thanks!!

Re: Goran Fat Boy Overdrive Pedal - This one's for Joe!

I can vouch for the pedal, Tony, and Goran. I just got mine a couple weeks ago and this pedal absolutely KILLS! It's a really great and diverse pedal... definitely worth a look. Here is a review that Tony did... http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/goran/fatboy. Mine is definitely staying on my board.

I didn't want my overt admiration for the pedal to be so obvious smile

Of course he does! Distortion devices are myriad in their names, and uses, much like the various amps he uses. In the same way that Billy Gibbons uses a variety of distortion devices. This item on Joe's pedalboard from 2011 shows no less than three different distortion generators. On display are the Dunlop Joe Bonamassa Fuzz Face, Ibanez Tube Screamer, and the Way Huge Pork Loin. All great units.

I became interested about the Goran via my friend, blues rocker Lance Lopez, who then gave one to Billy Gibbons. Gibbons then gave one to my pal Fabrizio Grossi. Goran is a great guy who makes a fantastic product, Joe is a fantastic guitarist and gear enthusiast. When Goran asked me to help get one into Joe's hands, I thought it was a great idea. I have one myself and have been astounded by both its sounds and its rugged build.

Kestrou - if you send me an e-mail at tonyc111659@hotmail.com, I would be glad to get you information and put you directly in contact with Goran smile

Re: Goran Fat Boy Overdrive Pedal - This one's for Joe!

Does this mean Joe will now be allowed to enter Serbia?

Re: Goran Fat Boy Overdrive Pedal - This one's for Joe!

I'd never dealt with buying things overseas before, so figuring out the payment was new for me (no paypal in Serbia) and was a bit of a hassle, but in the end totally worth it. I think I have serial number 076. Really cool and diverse pedal... My '65 SG Jr. LOVES the vintage channel through a Fender amp (Blues Jr. right now, but upgrading to a Bassman). Unfortunately I do not have the capabilities to record, otherwise I most definitely would!

I'm sure he'll use it, but I'm sure he only uses pedals on tour that are available at most guitar stores you walk into.
