Re: Oklahoma City Nov 4th 2003

My brother filmed this on video tape 8 mm and just had it converted. He says he has the whole show. He just started to upload and that was the first song he did. He says more to come.

Re: Oklahoma City Nov 4th 2003

...listening now! ...shame about the one channel audio but god i've missed so much Joe! ...love this catching up stuff! ...the current road show is a whole different game and level now but these walk on improvised intro's is a thing i would love to see for myself come back ...maybe selfishly because  i have missed them finding Joe when i did!? ...great to see and hear all the same! ...thanks to your brother Jim!

...Virg',Gab and Jack do a wonderful crack at this too! ...oh! ....and Jimi too! lol wink

I must echo all that Pete says as I am in the same position. I love to see and hear the older stuff as well as the sets such as the Baked Potato. That is when you really appreciate the awesome talent and mastery of Joe. cool

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Good stuff.  Thanks!!

Re: Oklahoma City Nov 4th 2003

Awesome!  I'm crazy for the early Joe.  And old-school 8mm, that makes it even more cool!
Thanks for making it available to the massas!

Re: Oklahoma City Nov 4th 2003

And if you sorta loosely connect the jack plug of your audio device (speakers/earbuds) to the outlet port/receptacle, you can get the audio on both channels.  No, seriously...  Ok, it's not stereo, but it's better than a single channel!

Re: Oklahoma City Nov 4th 2003

Thanks so much for sharing these Jim!  Got me feeling all nostalgic......I didn't see Joe until 2006 but feel blessed to have seen Joe in the earlier years.  Each show was special in it's own way and Joe has been on an ever-changing journey since......
Please convey my thanks to your brother for these.  I think they are great!

ANDY studio version and Heartaches/Color and Shape video led me to see Joe in Tulsa where he closed the show with AYE. AYE did close the deal.

Re: Oklahoma City Nov 4th 2003

very nice Jim, thanks for posting. This was before my major exposure to Joe, had no idea he ever covered AYE. What is really cool, he invokes a little Jeff Beck "Space For the Papa" in the intro. sound is not all that bad to me.

In a word...WOW!

(OK, so that's four words. tongue )

Felt like stepping into the WABAC machine, with Mr. Peabody and Sherman.  Thanks for the nostalgic ride.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.
