Topic: AMG (Allans Music/Billy Hyde) in liquidation in Australia!

They are the equivalent of Guitar Centre in the US I guess - the biggest music instrument retailer in Oz have announced that they are shutting down with $40m in debts.

Sad, because I used to spend hours and hours hanging out at the Allans Music store in Adelaide in my younger days.  Allans music have been operating in Australia since 1850 !!

On a note closer to here - I noted that Joe hire's his Aussie rig from Billy Hyde Rentals when he tours here.  Hope this doesn't throw a spanner in the works for his upcoming tour in 2 months...

A real shame, but a blessing for the little guys!! I've worked at Holden Hill Music in the past and they were being murdered by Allans/Billy Hyde and eBay sellers!!

I guess he will have to go with Derringers Music for Adelaide..... I can lend you some gear if you want Joe haha..... My Ceriatone will be here soon! tongue

But yeah in a way it is quite sad that it has come to this.
