Topic: Bill Nash Guitars

I have the opportunity to purchase a Nash Strat w/ Lollar's. I know that Joe has a Nash Tele, and at one point used it in the studio; I believe it was on the first BCC album. Also, Glenn's go-to bass is a Nash. Just wondering if anyone has any hands-on experience with a Nash guitar and what their thoughts were? Also, the same goes for experience with Lollar pickups?

I can't speak to the Nash part - but have a set of Lollars and like'em a LOT! smile

Re: Bill Nash Guitars

I got to play a Nash strat a year or so ago and was really blown away.  I don't know what pickups were in it, but as a whole it was one of the best classic strats I've ever laid my hands on.  Felt perfect in my hands, sounded gorgeous.   If was looking for that type of guitar I'd definitely try a bunch of Nash's before buying anything else.

Re: Bill Nash Guitars

I've tried a few Nash guitars, and really liked all of them. It's just a matter of time until I get my hands on one.

Re: Bill Nash Guitars

I have two Nash Guitars a TC-63 and an S-63, and love them both. The S-63 is an ash body one and had Fralins in it, they were a bit to sharp for my taste, currently has Sliders in it (which i love) and is my main Strat. The feel and playability of the guitar is amazing, and it has a sexy look and tone too.... Like so many, I've tried, bought and sold strats and strat style guitars ever since i started playing many many years ago... and though i cannot claim to be a full time pro player I've had my S-63 for years now and it is one of the best playing and sounding strat's I've ever come across...  It all comes down to personal taste and of course the electric guitar is only part the equation but that said would recommend Nash's strats and tele's without reservation... great custom shop level guitars with beautifully done relicing at a doable price point.

I've also tried several of Lollars pickups (single coil and humbuckers) and have been extremely impressed by them all. My TC-63 has Lollars (amazing guitar) and i recently put a Dirty Blonde set in a Warmoth alder body strat (basically what is in Nash strats with Lollars)... sounds amazing: dynamic, vocal, and airy with a great character. For Lollar strat PUps I've tried the blonds and blackface... as well as the dirty blonde set, they were all very good IMO, with their own thing going on... strat through and through.

Re: Bill Nash Guitars

Thanks for the input. I guess what your trying to say is Nash guitars rule?
