Topic: Wayne Krantz Trio
Saw the Wayne Krantz Trio last night at Ronnie Scott's and boy it blew me clean out of the water!
Wayne had tried to overcome imitation of other players, and I think he has succeeded. It is hard for me now to put his music into a genre, the best I can do is 'Alternative Jazz'. But it was like hearing a brand new kind of music.
We also got a copy of his new cd 'Howie 61' signed by Wayne Krantz, and Jeff Beck walked through the door of Ronnie Scotts and sat in! The look on Wayne's face when he came in!
