Personally I would have preferred a more classic LP style tailpiece - I'm sure the one fitted is top dollar, especially if Joe selected it - I just don't dig that design...a bit agricultural. lol (;

I don't like the tailpiece myself, (pick guard either) but I'm not playing it! I think it would look cool with a floyd on it, always liked floyds and I consider myself a real man.., or like you said something more along the lines of a LP style one.

Aside from the black finish, the biggest difference is the reverse headstock.  I don't think that would affect the sound much...

i wonder.... if the tension difference with the reverse head stock with the different gage strings makes a difference in tone? I guess I am thinking to hard. It must be the Engineer in me.

Nice.  I became an instant fan, back when the Dixie Dregs album Free Fall came out.  Been keeping tabs (no pun intended) on Steve, ever since.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

It's official. One will shortly be en route to the Flynn household...

Wanted one first time I saw it ..... In Joe's hands....Cleveland.  Fortunate to say I received mine 2 1/2 weeks ago and it's a fantastic guitar.  Am especially luvin the neck...very smoothe.  Sure enough, Steve's sig. Is on the back....just have to add Joe's (between you and your tech.....very nice job Joe).  I think you'll love it

Just curious...have you receive yours?  Only think I had to "not do" was continually hit the vol knob....now it's just simply an awesome guitar.  Hope you find the same.
