Topic: Michael Burks' final CD set for release

"Show of Strength" is the title. It was ready prior to his final tour, which is a blessing for us all. Here's a really nice write-up that says it all.

Interesting the article mentions a "Tony Iommi sounding riff".. When RikEmmettfan guy posted something about Michael Burks over in the gear section I immediately downloaded some songs. I had never heard of Michael Burks even though he was brought up in the Other Artists sections. Back to the point of my post: While listening to the tunes, I noticed a lot of his guitar parts reminded me of and sounded like Tony Iommi. Even his lead tone in certain spots was about spot on to early Sabbath guitar tones. Definitely gonna have to pick this one up. -S
