Topic: RIP Jon Lord

Jon Lord passed away today, a few hours ago.

I know Joe played with Jon for an album which is yet to be released....my mate also played bass on that album and his wife is best friend with Jon's daughter...so all very sad.

Great loss. One of the coolest men in R and R.

"Who wants an orange whip? Orange whip? Orange whip? Three orange whips...."

JB LP Goldtop No. 290- Aged...rather like me.

Re: RIP Jon Lord

A HUGE loss to the world of music.  Condolences to anyone that knew him.

If you look up to the heavens just before the start of every Joe Bonamasaa concert you can see Stevie, Jimi, Muddy, Gary and others leaning over God’s railing jockeying for the best view.
And if you listen, you can hear Stevie say  “ SHHhhhh,  The kids about to start playing.”

Re: RIP Jon Lord

Just saw it on Ted Nugents site, RIP in Mr. Lord, we appreciate the music. In the wind.....

Re: RIP Jon Lord

Such a shame, still can't believe it's real sad

Re: RIP Jon Lord

Guys, please re-post in the earlier topic in Other Artists. Jon Lord was an important artist, but one RIP topic is enough, imo.

RIP Iron Man
