Are these kits really worth it? I'm not sure the vintage caps are really worth buying or not. The new pots vs Gibson Custom shop are totally worth it. Gibson pots look nice but they are not very nice inside of them, just a step better then a Alpha brand pot imho. Orange drop caps are cheap and I'm not convinced they don't sound as good a a paper oil vintage style caps or bumble bee caps. Ceramic tone caps are cheap and not as warm sounding. I'd bite the bullet and just get a really nice kit. You might spend more but all the parts are going to be top notch and you won't be disappointed.
