Topic: NGD!

Well it's about time I added a Tele to the stable and this one is pretty sweet. 1988 USA Standard dead mint. Got it for a great deal too. Now off to learn more chicken pickin' licks!

A six-saddle bridge? Sorry, man, what you've got there is a Strat with a pickup missing...   wink

Re: NGD!

he could have bought a Jim Adkin's Fender Tele.
its a cross between a Gibson P90 LP with TOM and 2vol-2tone and a hollow body tele

so Kev's still got a solid slab of tele.

What you've got there is correct intonation... Unlike those stupid three saddle bridges where perfect intonation isn't possible!! Teles are worlds ahead of strats anyway!!

Re: NGD!

Are you also an interior decorator?! Cool guitar! Can't go wrong with a simple blonde or white tele. -S

Re: NGD!

what tips did Joe give you for the DSL100? smile

Re: NGD!

I really like it!  6 saddles or not American telecasters sound great!

Re: NGD!

Joe told me he uses the "green" channel with a fair amount of gain with the volume and gain knobs at roughly 2pm if I recall correctly...he kind of held his hands "karate chop" style in the 2 o'clock position which would be around 6-7...definitely the Green Channel though...I think I posted something about his DSL settings a while back....

It's a long-standing joke (or argument-starter, depending on who you're talking to!) among Fender fans.  Hence the smiley...   wink

I'd say Telecasters, period, but that's just me...   big_smile

Congrats, Kevin.  All kidding aside, she looks beautiful, and I'm sure she'll sound great as well...
