Good cover sounds like you used the actual Kossoff chords rather than the easier versions on most tab sites.

Thanks Pete! I think I got them fairly close to his chords!! The amount of people I have seen play it A D A DDDD A is ridiculous!!
Tested my fingerstyle bass playing skills though!!
sorry Stefan, I keep forgetting to check this topic and missed it. very ambitious trying to do both of those guys, but 'Lawd Above' you did great. I loved this song growing up, not knowing it was Kossof, brings back a lot of memories. You just flat nailed the guitar tone.
cheers, Tres

Superb, great stuff can't really praise you enough. Do you do other subjects or just play guitar? I presume you like the mike high but it must make it more difficult I would think. I will take lessons any time. Keep it up.

I think your future is in the music business but then you will need to be photographed so the mike will have to come lower.

Good stuff, always a pleasure to hear from you all.
kind of a late addition but i noticed some people talking about reading sheet music and thought id see if anyone had any other opinions or points to chime in with.
Ive actually been developing my sight-reading as im able to read music but im still kinda slow at playing it as i read.
I started improving it a couple of days ago and ive been improving rapidly, and i think its because of one simple reason...
...im THOROUGHLY enjoying the process
Ive been playing for 6 years and it took me 5 years before i started learning theory, and when i did get around to it, it was because i wanted to and enjoyed learning about what i was already playing (and why it sounded good).
to summarise, i think that you have to gravitate towards these things when you WANT to do them, its best to trust your instincts but at the same time keep an extremely open mind, and not stop yourself from changing your mind/opinions on these things because, even the strongest convictions you hold can be turned on their heads one day because of experiences and information you find along the way. When i first started, i listened to nothing but AC/DC and vowed id never become a 'soulless shredder', and now, im stealing Eric Johnson licks & Steve vai runs and trying to master my instrument (In the same way a violin player would, and they dont get chastised for reading fluently )
Keep learning, keep growing. Technique & prowess is a means to an end, if you have something to say, it will be heard regardless
Enjoy the process

Thats girl's guitar would have been tossed across the room if I was him!
