Topic: Buddy Guy/Jonny Lang

I'll be seeing these guitar heroes in Dallas tomorrow night!! This will be my first time seeing Jonny Lang, but I've seen Buddy Guy several times, and he never fails to deliver!! Anyone else going to the show? If so, I hope you're excited as well!!

Re: Buddy Guy/Jonny Lang

Saw them last week here on Long Island.  What an awesome show.  Buddy is 76 years young and plays like a 30 year old.  Jonny played like God told him "Son, this is your last show so give it all you got".

If you look up to the heavens just before the start of every Joe Bonamasaa concert you can see Stevie, Jimi, Muddy, Gary and others leaning over God’s railing jockeying for the best view.
And if you listen, you can hear Stevie say  “ SHHhhhh,  The kids about to start playing.”

Re: Buddy Guy/Jonny Lang

The Dallas show was awesome last night!! Jonny did indeed play very well and has some great songs. A few I knew were Angel Of Mercy, Turn On Your Red Light, Living For The City, Forty Days & Forty Nights, etc. Living For The City is probably my favorite Stevie Wonder song and Jonny nailed it!! And of course, Buddy Guy is always awesome in concert!! He played some of his songs and paid tribute to others including Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, Junior Wells, etc. Quinn Sullivan came out with Buddy and did 2 of his own songs, plus played on Strange Brew & Voodoo Child. Quinn is great for a 13 year old. Sounds like he practices all the time. Everyone needs to see Buddy Guy live at some point in their natural freaking life!!
