Topic: My 'quick and dirty' pedalboard weekend project...
I've posted my main pedalboard on here before, but I had some pedals left over that didn't make it onto my main pedalboard, and I wanted to have a small board that I could easily take to open jams etc. where I didn't need a whole host of effects other than overdrive and simple delay, and that I could plug into virtually any borrowed amp.
I debated getting a Pedaltrain Junior or something, but then my wife (who is an artist) was about to give away an old carry case that she had outgrown...

I immediately seized it, and thought that perhaps I could convert it.
I removed the internal dividers, and also noticed that the bottom of the case was made of a very thin layer of wood, so I reinforced that with another couple of sheets of ply...
Oh, and I also had to remove the restrictors on the hinges that limited the case to opening just over 90 degrees. Now I can lay the lid flat.

After all that, the lip around the bottom of the case was too high, so I flipped it and actually used the LID of the case as the base. It was still a job to arrange the pedals to allow enough clearance to fit the input/output jacks and the power lead.
I am going to have to route some holes in the sides methinks. I also ran out of velcro, so had to hold the pedals in place with tiny strips for now. Time to make a trip to the hardware store today for the final bits, but at least the board is fairly serviceable as is...
