My comments... it's not the first 14k tele neck pickup, that was also my first! Although, it wasn't because I didn't turn the machine off... it was because I did 8000 winds of 46 awg wire, and I still had a TON more room for wire! 43 awg is much thicker.

7.79 k? for a tele neck? how did that sound? I'm guessing a little dark?


Welcome to the world of winding pickups, Joe. I've been doing it for two years now and love it. Humbuckers are a lot harder to do, and I'm still playing with how to get them perfect. Lots of tinkering. cool

I'm wondering what you covered the coils with instead of wax potting. Was it poly?
