Topic: My Lester - 'Honey'

I dunno if this is the right place for this.  We played a gig this last week where we had a pro photographer take some snaps of the band which came out quite well.  Thought some of you gear heads would like to see a couple of me and one of my LP's.  I call her 'Honey' - none too original I know but I love her all the same!  Can you guess how old she is? (:

I noticed you have a cube 60 how do you like it? Do you use it for practice or gigs?

It's a great little amp that produces a surprisingly good tone for a SS - clean/articulate - and the price is great.  The reverb is passable too.  Sometimes I rig it with a Marshall 1912.  The only drawback is there's no FX loop, so if I do use it live for small venues (and I do occasionally - but it's mainly for home studio use), it means messing about with my pedalboard to run FX in front.  To be fair though, if I'm using it I only really need a delay and an OD pedal as the chances are the gig would not warrant taking lots of gear along - sounds like a good excuse to purchase a couple more pedals?! lol

Excellent pictures. Is it a Les Paul Classic honeyburst? Inlays look to have that greenish tint unless its from the stage lights. Either way, cool axe hands down. Love the plain tops too. -Seth

She's definitely a beauty.  I love it when people post pics of their gear.  Even better when caught in battle.  Thanks for posting.  After a proper interval, post the identiy please.

Thanks alot.  To be honest, there's guys on here (including Joe of course!) that have far more rare and expensive guitars, but sometimes you stumble upon an axe that's a little more humble but it ticks all the right boxes.  And it's nice to have a good photographer with top kit around to capture you in action especially if you get to play at a venue that's a cut or two above the usual pub gig!

Oops I didn't realize helrazr84 had already said the Classic.  I'm going to say the guitar is 12 years old or older.  It isn't a newer one because it has the ABR-1 on it, before they stopped making them they used Nashville bridges on them.

Beautiful looking LP... Gorgeous photography also that brings out the best characteristics!  I actually love the 'fingerprint' marks on a guitar top - actually proves the guitar is used in battle, rather than shined up and stored in a humidicrib somewhere...
