Topic: Joe Bonamassa, Walter Trout and Tallan Noble Latz…
OK, Joe didn’t get up and play with these two guys, but allow me to explain. Prior to seeing Joe perform and attending the Meet and Greet in Des Moines, Iowa on May 3rd, I sent out a message to a number of common friends of Joe’s and mine in the music business asking if they would like to send a message to Joe via me. Quite a few responded such as Chris Duarte, Albert Castiglia, Graham Brown for Oli, Greg Koch, Eric Steckel, Aaron Williams, Albert Cummings and of course, Walter Trout. Walter answered me asking if I would say hello to Joe for him and also, have me give Joe a copy of his brand new album called, “Blues For The Modern Daze”. The crazy thing was, I had pre-ordered three copies of that CD and received them a day before leaving to see Joe.
When I gave Joe the copy of Walter’s CD at the M&G, he immediately said that he had ordered the CD and understood that Walter wrote the whole thing. I saw Walter perform at Shank Hall in Milwaukee this past Thursday night and so, mentioned to Walter after the show about giving Joe his CD. I figured it was not Walter who responded privately to my request, but maybe his wife or someone else that looks after his Facebook messages. Well, Walter not only confirmed it was him that responded, but told me exactly what he told me in the message. That nearly knocked me for a loop!
Anyway, Walter again put on a fantastic show playing many songs from this new CD. He also again, invited up for a song a buddy of ours whose name is Tallan Noble Latz a/k/a T-Man. Tallan is now 12 years old and admittedly, I had not seen him since last April when he, his father Carl and I traveled to Texas on a 12 day trip. What you are about to see is a young man who now, plays at a level that not only blew my mind, but everyone who was present that night at Shank Hall! Enjoy…
