Re: What was your 1st good guitar

Yeah, the L6-S wasn't anything special ......but it WAS a Gibson ,which was a big deal to us kids in 1977
And, Paul Stanley played endorsed 'em in the magizine ads......
Pencil Neck & horrible screechy  hot ceramic pickups
They had a cheaper version with strings thru & a bolt-on called a midnight special
I think that what paul has here on....The Midnight Special

I always wanted a L6S...do you still have it ?

No, sold it in the 80s. I recall flat fat frets on these. I think Ray Davies played them quite a bit.

Re: What was your 1st good guitar

Oh yeah, it was Santana that endorsed the L6-s
Paul Stanley endorsed the Marauder ,which was kinda like Gibson's version of a Tele Custom

Re: What was your 1st good guitar

Richard Johnson of Kansas also played one for a while, went out of my way to find artists that were using it, not too many. Do you remember Carlos' fancy multi-colored model with the exotic inlays? Good to have you here Alvin, come south in the near future if you can.
Tres

scuse me, that should be Richard Williams of Kansas
