Re: RUSH-Clockwork Angels

Rush fan here.  Looking forward to the new CD. Seeing them in Sept. in Va.  Can't wait!!!!!!!

Re: RUSH-Clockwork Angels

Not got it yet and not heard the leak.

Getting some promising reviews, but the last 25 years have been so fallow it won't take much for it to be an improvement.
Still, the missus is letting me out to go to Toronto, and I got front row for Sheffield next year smile

Re: RUSH-Clockwork Angels

Been a fan since 1976 with my first concert ever (which happened to be Rush) in 1977.  Have seen them live more than any other artist, but Joe is going to pass them before too long.  Looking forward to the new album, but for me Geddy's voice is going away.  Nothing lasts forever - especially when you build a career on a falsetto like vocal range.

The Cleveland DVD was pretty disappointing for me.  I know Geddy's was sick the night it was taped, but he is just flat the whole show.  Bad luck and trouble . . .

Gibson 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Reissue, Gibson LP Standard Faded CSB, Gibson Gary Moore LP Standard, Epi Joe Bonamassa GT LP, Epi Zakk Wylde LP, Dean Michael Schenker Flying V, Jackson Randy Rhoads V, ESP/LTD George Lynch Kamikaze, EVH Striped Series R/B/W, Fender/Squire John 5 Telecaster, Fender Joe Strummer Relic Telecaster

Re: RUSH-Clockwork Angels

Okay, gave the album a few spins now.
Wow it´s really a great piece of music and amazing how those guys are still not only creating good but really inspiring songs after all those years.

Can´t say how it compares to other albums yet but I definetly prefer it to Snake and Arrows.
Only thing is that it is in my opinion a tad overproduced, the guitar sometimes gets somewhat drowned.

But other than that  5/5 release for me and still plenty of details to discover!

For everyone who wants to decide wether to buy or buy not by listening to a few songs, my favs:

CLOCKWORK ANGELS, HEADLONG FLIGHT

Re: RUSH-Clockwork Angels

Wow, this album is incredible! How can 60 year old guys be making music as good as this?
The Wreckers and The Garden are two of the best Rush songs recorded for 30 years, and in my opinion The Garden is top 10 in terms of Rush songs.
