Topic: Anybody watching Crossroads online?

Dude, I've never really been that into Allison Krause, but I'm digging this performance. By the way, I'd kill to have this sucker on VH1 instead of the Diana concert, musically-speaking.

Re: Anybody watching Crossroads online?

Doyle Bramhall II just got done tearing that crowd a new a**hole. Played three new ones and a cover of Outside Woman Blues, which he said was for Clapton. And he did it sitting.

Re: Anybody watching Crossroads online?

Sheesh, I didn't even think about them doing this online. And we're heading out the door! Oh well, have to catch the clips they have. Looks like it's in between bands right now... unless I'm just not receiving the feed properly.

Just helping to spread the word about going to see GOOD bands and GOOD live music as often as possible!!!

I'll be busy all day and night, I hope they allow some or all of it to be viewed at a later time.

Re: Anybody watching Crossroads online?

Dude, this stuff is too good to not put on DVD. John Mayer is absolutely tearing it up.

Deezer,

Clapton, Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramhall II on the same stage at one time. Forum member Lee is down there with his grilfriend Renee. Lucky bas**rd! Lee, you're living large my man!!

Roy

Hey Roy,
I saw Lee at the show yesterday and he mentioned seeing you at Shank Hall. My daughter and I were at the rear stage pre-show and Lee walked right up to me and asked if I was Bill S. I guess the Bonamassa shirt and the daughter on crutches  may have given it away, but it was sorta funny. About 3 hours later, Cathy Siler did the same thing when we were at the concession area getting food. It was great to meet them both.
I am sure this show will be coming out on DVD, but I wonder what will be left on the cutting room floor?

Re: Anybody watching Crossroads online?

I was lucky enough to get see Jeff Beck. Jeff was of course amazing even slipping in a cover of A Day in the Life.
The band was incredible. The bass player looked like Joan Osborn's little sister. 5 ft nothing couldn't of been more than twenty years old and had Hobbit sized hands, but what a groove and very smooth. I've got to see Jeff sometime. If he is that good on a computer screen he's got to be even better live.

Re: Anybody watching Crossroads online?

Jim- a new poster on the Clapton site made this post about Jeff.

"This event exceeded all expectations. Eric was fantastic. All of the guests were terrific. Jeff Beck blew me away. He played "Though We Parted As Lovers" from Blow by Blow and it was so beautiful that it hurt. Does anyone know who the young lady was playing bass for Jeff? She was amazing."

Re: Anybody watching Crossroads online?

Jeff Beck's bass player was 21 year old Tal Wilkenfeld. She has only been playing bass for four years!

Thanks. I was hoping somebody would know who she was. She is a freak of nature. So that was Vinnie Calaiuta on drums. I wasn't sure but it said it on her website.
