Topic: Recently converted Bonaholic

Hi everyone.  Mary here from the great midwest.  Went to my first Joe concert on May 7th in Evansville IN.  I took my husband as a present for him because he loves Joe but I had never really listened to him.  Well now I am a true believer. Since the live show I can't stop listening.  We have bought all the dvd's and CD's.  Loving the new DTTD album.  Kind of hoping that some of this will wear off but afraid it won't.  We are seeing him again this November in St. LOUis. 

Today's billboard ratings are fabulous. Joe is on fire!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum wvgirl. That sounds like a bad case of Bonamania you've picked up. No cure known so just enjoy it. Yes, he is on fire now and streaking for the horizon. Post often, we love company here.

Welcome to the forum, Mary. My daughter-in-law comes from E'ville, I've actually been down there a few times. Sadly, neither she nor my son exhibit any interest in Joe, though God knows I've tried. sad

Thanks for the welcome.  I only about 45 minutes from Evansville.  Small world.  Too bad they don't love Joe.  I am hoping for world domination by Joe

There's a twelve step program for bonaholism.  But you already bought the first 12 CDs (prior to DTTD), so you've already done them.  As has been said, you won't find anyone seriously looking to be cured, around here.

Good news is, the deeper you get hooked, the better it feels.  Way better than actual substance abuse.

Welcome to the forum.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

Welcome wvgirlinky, glad to see another Ky gal here, a few hours west of me and few hours even further from WV. If you're near Henderson have you been to the Handy Days Blues Fest? It's coming up this weekend, I found out about it a 5 or 6 years ago but have not been able to make it to one yet. Great line up, if you don't have plans smile

Way late reply.  Just going through all my old posts and saw this.  I have been to handy blues fest. every year since i have lived in the area.  I have seen Shemekia Copeland, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Buddy Guy, Tab Benoit, Michael Burks etc..

For free really great shows, you should try to go next year.
