what happenned to Pino & Steve Jordan? I noticed during Live Earth he had most of the Heavier Things band lineup in attendance.
Pino and Steve are such in demand musicians that they we're only with JM for the JM3 tour and recording of "Continuum". Pino plays with The Who and Steve is in Clapton's band. JM's new band features some heavy players including JJ Johnson and a killin' singer/guitarist named David Ryan Harris.
I honestly don't think Clapton even knows who Joe is.
My friend met Doyle Bramhall II and asked if he had heard Joe, and Doyle hadn't heard of Joe, and DBII is in Clapton's band.
I guess Doye II and his dad don't talk music then. Doyle SR. Opened for Joe is Dallas in 2004. There was talk of him cowriting and producing an album at one time. My opinion is for another guitarist to not of heard of Joe has been living in an isolation booth.
I'll share a story. I was involved with a recent appearance of Chuck Negron and Blood Sweat and Tears. I provided backline for the show. Drums, Keyboard's amps and such. It was a flyin show so they only brought things that could be checked on board. I hauled the equipment there in a trailer with a big Always on the Road Joe Bonamassa sticker.
The guitar player who I've never heard of but was pretty good walked by and said. Is Joe Bonamassa playing this show too? If he is I hope we aren't following him. That guy smokes. I explained why the trailer was there and that he wasn't playing. He said. In one way I'm dissapointed becuase I love watching him but relieved I don't have to follow him. The guy is the real deal. I asked him how he had heard of him and he said how can you not he is in all the magazines. The guy was originally from NY so he had known of him for a long time.
