So off we go to Wemberlee (staying over tonight) - could say Driving towards the Premiership (sorry Amster) 
Anticipation, excitement & nervousenous in equal amounts ! DTTD's just landed so thats going to be on all the way down there and probably all the way back which will temper the dissapointment if we lose. Hope it's a good game and the best team wins etc etc

Amen to that. I was in Cardiff in 05, and I can assure you that there is truly nothing to compare to the atmosphere of the play-off final! I'm on a course of antibiotics at the moment, so I won't be able to get falling down drunk tomorrow no matter what happens.

Would you believe. How Chelsea have won I don't know. Stout defensive work and a super goal from Drogba.
The penalties were, as usual, dramatic. Drogba capping his career with the final penalty.
So Abramovich realises his dream at last. My its cost a pretty penny.
Munich were the better team during the game, with Chelsea offering little until they went behind and then settling for the shoot out. Their only chance perhaps, but they took it!

Hell, a victory from the ashes. Congrats Chelsea but you have to think, Euro football is way better, we need to up our game seriously.

Just back & gutted !! Wasn't expecting much before the game but thought we were the better team (especially 2nd half) but weren't ruthless enough in front of goal. Oh well, there's always next season - Congrats AH

very true, - and our neighbours as Chelsea were shouting out with joy, - something very wrong when you go to bed in a bad mood and hear your neighbours partying into the small hours, :-( Only justice was me getting up early this morning to take the dog for a walk and making some noise!! 
I do not think that I am normally a bad loser so sorry if this does sound like sour grapes but I cannot help but think that the Champions League has been devalued this year as the so called peak of Club football across the world.. - As a football show the final was good, - that stadium looks superb. But..... The word "Champions" should not mean 6th place finishes after a very poor season, - and the implications to English football could be far reaching if Abramovich does go on a massive spending spree now so as to rebuild and not just for Spurs who could be made silly offers for more than just Modric, - that 3rd place spot could become a fight with man U in it as well, - SHOCK! In saying all of that Chelsea did well, - Drogba is so good when he wants to be, - although I actually think that it was Bayern who lost that match rather than Chelsea winning it.
oh and congratulations to West Ham, be good to see them back.
What an absolute bummer. After extra time with every player to take a penalty and it has to be the goalkeeper who misses the final shot after saving from the spot more than once. Heart goes out to him, However congrats to Huddersfield and for Mr Blatter, what does he know about exciting endings...

Holland lost a friendly to Bulgaria tonight. Deservedly, they were absolute crap. The top scorers of England and Germany couldn't muster one shot on goal in the first half. The idiot coach played van Persie and van der Vaart as 'wingers', which they are not and never will be, as well as two defensive midfielders. The team was a shambles. If he plays like this at the EC Holland will not survive the group.
Was in foreign climes for the game-well,Barrow-so only caught bits of the game,but unfortunately saw the WHOLE shootout.Such a shame it came down to the 'keepers,and someone had to miss,just a shame it was Sorenson! No-one remembers many of the penalty takers,just the one that 'cost' their team the match. Just have to win the league outright next year,pass the Owls on their way back.......;) Wonder if Ched was watching.....;)

God, that shows how bad it is when the sun shines and you need lubrication (in my case Bud) I never noticed your different spelling either.
it has all gone a bit quiet on here.....From tomorrow things just might be different?
