Well the smoke has cleared (I think) and I'll try to avoid this thread in the future.  The last two weeks has been a bumpy ride indeed.  It started in an emergency room with my wife having difficulty breathing.  A four hour ambulance ride to Indianapolis brought my wife to the 7th floor Solid - Organ Transplant Unit at Methodist Hospital.  After a barrage of tests it was determined there was a sizeable leak in her heart.  We were preparing for open-heart surgery until a cardiac cath. revealed her heart was actually quite healthy except for the leak.  This was good news because the cardiologist told us she could avoid surgery with medications and a low soduium diet.  The fly in the ointment though is we wonder if this is just postponing the inevitable surgery.
We have alot of Faith and treat each obstacle as just another thing - The new normal faced one day at a time.  Our thanks to all the great people here who had us in their thoughts.

Delighted to hear that your news is 'good', even though that is relative to the overall condition. Keep faith and hope alive, and navigate one day at a time. I wish you both the very best.

Curby,
That sounds like good news considering the alternative. Thanks for keeping us posted and I'm sure your forum family will continue to keep you and your wife in our thoughts. Best of luck.

So sorry for that ordeal, but glad to know it's treatable. I was an ICU Nurse before Hospice. E-Mail if I can ever answer any questions. I know you are the kind of folks who do see the beauty in every day, so I'm wishing lots of that for the both of you. Spring is here.  Cathy

Sorry that I haven't been as active on here as I have been.... I've been having some issues with depression that I'm dealing with. So if I disappear for a while off of here I'll be sorting myself out.

Over and out,

Stefan.

Take what time you need, but know you have a lot of friends here.  Maybe you can put some of that into the music you love so much. Know that people are here for you and take care.

Too right Stefan. Get yourself to a good place, music can only help but remember that you have a lot of friendly support here.
