Topic: Southern New England musicians

Hey all...not sure where to post this but wanted to throw this one out there.

I am interested in creating a blues band along the lines of our good buddy Joe here and I was wondering if there were any Southern New England musicians interested in doing the same.  I'd love to have 2 guitarists (myself being one of them), keyboards, bass and drums...if needed a singer if none of us can sing.  Focusing on Joe's cds because we get his great original material and his versions of the songs from the other masters of the blues.

Let me know what you think....something we can build on...

Re: Southern New England musicians

Well Barry, I reckon either Other Artists or Gear would be your best bets, certainly not in General. However, though Gear isn't strictly the right place, it might be your best shot at finding other musicians. I've never spent enough time in Gear to know if anyone has posted a request for other musicians there before....you're also kind of 'in the market', but you're unlikely to get much attention in the Marketplace.....so, I've wound up completely confusing myself....all I know for sure is that General isn't the right place.... *a facepalm smilie would be perfect here*

.........ok, let's try Other Artists...btw, this is not any kind of 'policy', since as far as I know,  there is none for something like this, this is just gut feeling (which could be wrong). wink

Re: Southern New England musicians

My wife's family is all up there, but I'm down in Florida so I can't help.  That said, I've met a lot of future band members at open mics and blues jams - you might just head out to them and see who you meet.

Open jams will be my next stop but I figured why not ask here where I know there are a lot of guitarists/musicians that love Joe's work...
