Topic: Guitar JB played

Evening everyone. Newbie here so hopefully I ask this in the right place. Just saw my first live JB show tonight and I'm blown away. Got a question as to what guitar he uses on Mountain Time, which I can listen to over and over. It's a cool looking black/gray colored guitar. Its the same one he used on the Beacon Theatre show. Appreciate any info and looking forward to learning more on this site.

Re: Guitar JB played

Hi Fred...  Im glad you enjoyed the show....  The guitar in question is in fact a special one off Musicman Steve Morse model... Its got a big neck and a reverse headstock..    I think they are doing a few for Guitar Center..   I call it the Darklord Morse....!!

Damn....my first time on the forum and my newbie question is answered by the man himself. Thanks Joe.

Joe

Love the reverse headstock on your steve morse. Is there any chance Gibson will release the Bona Byrd? Its amazing. Do you have a backup of the bona-byrd just in case?

Re: Guitar JB played

Ironic that this question comes up, as I just recently first heard this song. It's fantastic.

Started to learn it, and found my Telecaster fits the sound nicely (lacking the MM in my arsenal).

I wouldn't have thought so either. I didn't stick it, which means that either Jim or Joe did, so I'll wait for one of them to elaborate. It could just be a mistake. wink

Re: Guitar JB played

Appears the Darklord is now available for order. Some discussion on the Ernie Ball forums and one was purchased in Dallas. Seems that only 70 will be made in total. Just an FYI!

Re: Guitar JB played

Fred....how many house calls would it take to cover the price tag?. smile

Re: Guitar JB played

All depends on what they want!!!  Hearing various reports on the price tag but most seem $2500-$3000.

Re: Guitar JB played

Since no one has come up with any reason why this should be stuck, I will unstick it now.
