Thats a tough question, especially since Joe's band and BCC are already so amazing. But for the sake of putting a "supergroup" together, I'd go with

Pino Palladino on bass  (or Nathan East if he's not available)
Keith Carlock on drums (or Terry Bozzio if he's not available)
Jools Holland on piano (or Michael Kamen if he's not available)
Andy Bown on organ (or Jon Lord...)

And if backing vocals are needed, Katy Kissoon, Doreen Chanter and Carolyn Leonhart

Re: Customize Your Supergroup

Best supergroup for me would be:

John Bonham (or Ian Paice, or Dennis Chambers) - Drums
Bob Daisley - Bass
Jon Lord - B-3 and Piano
Malcolm Young (or Brad Whitford) - Rhythm Guitar
Paul Rodgers (if I couldn't be bothered singing myself.... With guys like these around why bother singing.... Get a pro to do it!!) - Vocals

Re: Customize Your Supergroup

I realize now that it's sort of a fantasy "draft" of sorts, but don't really want a dead drummer. Joe seems to work much better when the drummer is above ground smile

bass - Oteil Burbridge or Victor Wooten
alt Guitar - Derek Trucks
drums - Vinny C
keyboards - Jim Beard
backing vocals - yeah, what holdemxpert said

As corn through a goose, so are the days of our lives

Re: Customize Your Supergroup

For me:

Izzy Stradlin - Rhythm Guitar
Phil Rudd - Drums
Paul Rodgers - Vocals
Eric Czar - Bass

(That's assuming we can't pick any of Joe's lineup!)

Eric Czar??? Really?? I don't really like his playing... Doesn't lay it down enough.... He plays up high too much... Plus I don't think he'd gel with a groover like Phil Rudd too well... Don't get me wrong Eric is good but doesn't suit the rest of the players you have chosen (IMO).

I'd stick an applaud smilie if I could to you and Kenny.  It's amazing how some of those early bands found each other and were just meant to play together.

They made it work so well big_smile

"Holy Toledo"  -  Bill King   "Just Win Baby" - Al Davis  "The Autumn Wind" - Steve Sabol
