Topic: Bernard Allison...WOW

Attended the North Atantic Fest ( Maine) last weekend...blues heaven for two days. With many excellent guitarists including Lucky Peterson and Coco Montoya,( his brother Walther got rained on) the big surprise for me was experiencing Bernard Allison. I have listened to his Dad Luther often but had little exposure to Bernard. Bernard is the real deal - very talented guitarist if you ever get a chance to see him.
If you live in New England and are thinking about a bluesy weekend next year I highly recommend this festival. Very well run - they even have shuttles that dump you in your hotel parking lot!

Re: Bernard Allison...WOW

I saw Bernard at the Surf a couple years ago and he is great live.  Very high energy performance.  I got his cd "Higher Power" back then and it's really pretty great, too.  Very funky and cool.

Re: Bernard Allison...WOW

Just a fantastic live artist.  Decent albums...amazing live.  He doesn't play in the states too often, so if you get the chance to see him, make sure you do.

No matter how well you know someone, you can only ever guess.  How can you ever really know somebody else? It takes more than a lifetime just to get to know yourself.  Nobody knows the meaning of loneliness.  - Van Morrison

Re: Bernard Allison...WOW

Looking forward to seeing Bernard at the Bayfront Blues Festival in Duluth this year. He also has some other midwest dates coming up. Seen him once, but it was a brief show.
