Re: Van Halen - 2012 Tour

I just saw Van Halen last night. They rocked my socks off. My ears are still ringing. See them if you can. Eddie can jam.

Re: Van Halen - 2012 Tour

I was at the Tacoma show last night. They played for 2 hours straight. Eddie is still an Icon; his playing is as good as ever. DLR is struggling with his voice, that much is obvious. Still, a great show; well worth the trip from Montana.

I'm thinking if Ed would turn those amps down a touch it would help David out a lot.  Doubt he was playing thru all of them but still I was head on and the amps were louder then the entire PA sound.  Less stage volume makes it way easier to hit those high notes!

Over 30 2012 tour dates postponed

Re: Van Halen - 2012 Tour

According to TMZ.com, VAN HALEN decided to postpone 31 of its previously announced summer concerts because the guys in the band felt like the current schedule was "too much, too fast" and they were "losing their focus." The site quotes a source "close to the band" as saying "They're simply burned out" and adding, "They want to make sure their concerts are not a routine ... they want every performance to be special." The members of the group want to take some time to "recharge their engines" and return to the road with a renewed energy and enthusiasm.

Re: Van Halen - 2012 Tour

And I'm hearing that it's so they can fit in a Euro tour

Ed is fine. Janie will post rescheduled dates (and new shows in Europe!) shortly. Stay tuned..

Re: Van Halen - 2012 Tour

Oooooh, they just postponed their Portland date and are giving refunds.....I'm not sure if I want to pony up the funds for this as I have seen the original band 5 times....but "A Different Kind of Truth" is so stupidly good, that it makes it very tempting...

Planet Rock is reporting they're fighting and arguing and "hate each other" and actually canceled all their shows in July, August and September.

It's not that I don't believe this, but why wait until July to cancel shows?

That's the same spin I read in RS today. Why doesn't this surprise me? Sounds like somebody across the pond is candy coating this implosion which has all the markings of the end of Van Halen, at least with Diamond Dave in tow.
