Well 6 Grammy's this year + 2 from last year= 8. Not a bad start, but she's got a lot of ground to make up to catch one of my favorite top 3 Female vocalists Alison Kraus who is tied with Quincy Jones @ 27 for the most by active artists/producers. There's a 16 year gap between Adele and Alison so Adele could catch her if she can be as popular and productive as Alison who is far from finished with her brilliant career which doesn't involve Pop music. Should Alison decide to crossover to the Pop genre, it would be an interesting competition.

Not a bad start
Ha! bit of an understatement !
Go listen to some of her interviews - get a sense of the woman, she is also very funny, very grounded - takes time out for her loyal fans. She's being managed well, and her small Independent Record Co - XL - aren't pushing her. At the moment, 21 has taken on a life of it's own - selling 20k units a week - and as yet, no sign of slowing down. The future is looking bright for Adele - whatever she chooses to do next.

Hmmmm....... like FCA ? yeah, i would agree with that!
As i mentioned above, go listen to some of her interviews, her 60 Min - Anderson Cooper interview is a good example.
ps. i don't smoke - it's not good for one's health!
Don't smoke? Most wise. It's like playing Russian roulette. I only smoke when I'm on fire!

I was reading some of the comments below the article about Adele's weight.
I'm just going to say on thing. I love when a talented woman succeeds without performing half nude or starving herself to get really skinny.
You go girl!! Continued success to Adele, she is the real deal!
Agree about the smoking, similar to Russian roulette. I know someone who smoked unfiltered Camels, 2 packs a day and lived to 93 without getting cancer. But I know too many people that quit 10 years ago and now are getting the diagnosis, which is a major bummer. I always reflect on that Neil Young song with all things addictive...The Needle and the Damage Done...

Smoking - something Adele loved to do - her doctors/surgeon advised her to stop, prior to her throat surgery last year - i wonder how successful she's being at kicking the habit?

Quitting for her could be a double edged sword. Most people tend to gain weight when they kick the tobacco habit. Struggling with ones weight before quitting can be real tough. Smoking is the greater of the two evils.

I see Miss A's gig at the RAH is being re-broadcast on BBC3 and the HD channel tomorrow 20.00-21.00, but you'll be watching Chelsea being munched by Bayern Munich, of course.
Ahhhh....Thats the beauty of a DVD.
As for the Champions League Final, as you know, i'm not a Blues fan, but as a London club - i will be wearing blue for the night!
One for you Brack.
