Keep your heads down and stay safe. Positive vibes headed your way!

Just seen the news this morning. I once got a bit too close to a twister in Key Largo that had appeared from the hurricane in 1995. Very scary and much too close for comfort. This is 100 times worse. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all in the firing line.
Yesterday my Wife and I attended a wedding north of my city near Princeton, Indiana and driving back through her hometown of Fort Branch we witnessed the enormous hail damage caused by Friday's storms. Every building's west side was pock-marked with holes to the insulation from horizontal driven golfball-sized hail. Vehicles looked like a hammer had been taken to them.
Please be cautious and safe all of you.
well it was worse than I thought, another 37 or so people killed. That makes it 50 or more from last weeks storms cumulative. We got next to nothing here in Birmingham, except for one hail core that came through about 8:00PM Sat night. That lit us up good, they were 1" to 1 1/2" chunks that made a lot of racket and took some limbs down, but did nothing to the house or vehicles. The people that have it worst right now are in areas that have since received snow, and are having to deal with cleanup plus the extra mess from that. I really feel for them.

That is global warming for ya.
Think its been off-set by Nuclear Winter
We have had bright sun, then snow bright sun then hail. At least it is getting more varied as it moves south. It was just on tv that nature has got screwed up with birds now singing their autumn songs instead of mating calls and spring flowers coming back again. It's getting like ground hog month...
100+ degrees in Tenerife. Go figure!!!

Well, if the end of the world is near, I want that danged postman to hurry up and get my DTTD here ASAP! The annular eclipse will be viewable here at about 85% right around sunset so that should be special. I'll be trying to get a good sunset snap.

Doesn't sound like the end of the world ... sounds more like the beginning of something really wonderful! However, I'd agree with the postman hurrying up with my cd as well. I'll be watching for your sunset snap Rickster.
A heavy marine cloud cover had moved in by the time it was happening. I got a glimpse of the sun through a thin spot and it was very cool to see the solar disc with a big round bite like a half cookie. Ran to get the camera from inside and it was gone when I returned and all that was noticeable was a prolonged twilite as it got dim a couple of hours before sunset. I heard it was very cool up the coast.
