So sad to hear this... my thoughts go out to his family and best friend Steve Cropper.

This one hurts. One of my all time favorite musicians and a great bass player.

Rest in peace Duck you will be missed.

Here's a quick 2-minute history. It's actually a promo of sorts (artist feature for Lakland guitars) but is a decent clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKGPrS1zi-Q

I'm glad I got to see him play with Booker T. & The MGS at the Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas.

I was fortunate enough to see him with the Blues Brothers "Live", and yes, Belushi did backflips across the stage, just like the movie. Talk about lightin' up a crowd!

Re: R.I.P. Donald "Duck" Dunn

Apparently he was at the Tom Petty Estero, Florida gig on 3 May. Of course he played on the studio versions of "Hometown Blues" and "A woman in love". RIP.

One of my heroes; along with David Hood of Muscle Shoals.  I hope you packed your pipe, Brother Dunn.
