BOC (a band Ive seen more than any other except Pink Floyd/RW/DG, living near Stony Brook and neighbors of Foghat, and following them up and down the Jersey shore) was extremely disappointing (for the first time ever) at the OC Fair last summer. Rushed through a very short set and outta there. Roeser was sloppy, and there was no energy at all. Foghat did a solid set before them and the crowd was into it, so it wasnt a crowd issue.

That said, a street fair in San Diego cant be bad if it were 2 garage bands and a DJ, so I'll probably be there, thanks for the heads up!

Answered my own Steppenwolf question..it is John Kay And, so definitely worth the ride.

ETA:  VIP tix $160???  And there were concerns about JB at $90?

GA is $50 and that is good enough for me as we will be walking around and eating/drinking. BTW,thanks for the heads up on Eric Johnson at the Coach House. We'll be there. smile
edit: We saw EJ at the Anthology last year and the damned place split the sets and didn't advise us after I had got the tix. Ran us out after the first set for the next group. yikes And that was $50 per set which were short ones.
