Re: Bad Company 2012 Tour

Love Bad Co.They came bursting out of the gates, but fizzled out after a few releases in my opinion.Their doubt album an all time classic.Either way a great band to see.

Re: Bad Company 2012 Tour

It will be interesting to see if Mick Ralphs is there as he was excluded from a few gigs last time out. Personally I thought he struggled when I saw him and Howard Leese played a lot of his parts.

Mick did have health problems on the last Bad Co. tour.  I saw him here in the States, but I know he had to stay home when they toured in Tokyo.  I can't say for sure, I heard he had back problems?   Maybe someone else can put up better info?

Also, Mick has his own Blues band in England right now.

But when I saw Bad Co., he and Howard Leese played and their were a number of times I seen a wonderful smile on Mick's face when he was playing with Howard.

They did "Electric Land" in that tour.  I hope it stays in the setlist. It was tight!

Cool they will be at a Rock Festival.  Mick is Bad Co. so hopefully he will be there. Company always on the run!

Bad Company ‘Can’t Wait to Hit the Stage’ for First Tour of Mainland Europe Since 1975

Since 2008, the surviving members of the classic Bad Company lineup have occasionally regrouped to play shows in select parts of the world, such as the United States and Japan.

Mainland Europe was not part of Bad Co.’s itineraries — until this year. Starting June 9 in Sweden, singer Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke will launch a brief tour of continental Europe, their first one there since 1975 (way back when the band’s second album, ‘Straight Shooter,’ was released).
Following their June 9 show on the closing day of the Sweden Rock Festival, Bad Company is scheduled to perform five times during Germany’s Rock the Nation Festival between June 11 and 16.

“It is amazing to me that there is still so much interest in Bad Company’s music after all these years,” says Rodgers . “We have toured in the U.S. and U.K. in the last couple of years, and it only seems fair to play for the faithful rock fans in Germany and Sweden. I can’t wait to hit the stage and reconnect with our fans.”

He had a hip replacement.
& it looks like he plays lead on his songs, Howard Leese plays the others.

Re: Bad Company 2012 Tour

Well I'll soon find out if there is any change to Mick's playing in the upcoming European gigs as I am going to the Berlin one in June.

Re: Bad Company 2012 Tour

Question to ponder. Bad Co have always been a 4 piece so why add a second guitarist? It would have been Rodgers' decision.

Ahhhh, Bad Company...one of those bands I never saw live, but when the first few notes of any song are played (especially "Bad Company" itself) are played, it never fails to carry me back to "dem good ole days". The " late night who's better, Rodgers or Marriott" devates were awesome, lol.

Paul played the second guitar for a long time but I think would rather concentrate on his singing.
Mick brought in Dave "Bucket" Cowell during the Brian Howe era.
Since Bad Co plays so infrequently now, it makes sense to bring in the guys from Pauls solo band.
It would be odd if it was just the bass player, which he seems to have quite a turnover of - what's up with that?
