Ahhhhhh!
Nice! I heard rumors something was happening...thought it might have been in Des Moines.
Sorry I missed it, hope somebody got it on video!!!

I heard they practiced it during sound check in Iowa. Please somebody have videos.
Another incredible aspect of the show was that 4 vintage Les Pauls were featured! First Magellan, then Principle Skinner, then Batman/The Babe, and finally TW's Sandy. I've never seen anything like it in 35 years of going to concerts. Just ... Wow!
Doug Henthorn ROCKS ON Stage! OK, I can't take any more... I am officially passed out!!!!!!!!!! WOW!
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,

They worked on it for at least an hour. There was a few of us there inside the Des Moines Civic Center waiting patiently with Patty as she was dropping off her guitar for Joe so we knew they were going to play it that night or sometime soon. Joe even walked by at one point on his way to the tour bus to retrieve his iPod to make sure they had it right.
I heard the sound check, too. One of my all time favorite Joe songs - was so hoping to hear it that night, but just hearing the sound check was heaven.
I tipped off one of my friends who was going to bring her video camera "just in case" - hope she was able to get something!

I always wanted to see him do that song live. What a treat for you guys. Please posts link for a video if it becomes available!
Well, although Sandy DID tip me off, I was actually expecting/hoping this might happen! I was treated to T.4.1 a couple years ago when Joe played the Indy Ribfest. Friday night I went downtown to hear Doug's new band, The Henthorn LLC, ran into Rick and Carmine, and met Rick Phipps, saying to him that I thought we'd get a special guest for Saturday's gig. Can I just prepare you that a) this was my first effort with trying to video ANYTHING (except the falling snow last winter!...um...NO SOUND THERE! ), and b) I was using a pocket Canon Power Shot that has a video feature, and c) I need to work on my triceps!! All that said, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8-IhCz_ … ture=share
Thanks for doing this Donna. Your little camera was put to the test but we got some good stuff there. I was so looking forward to hearing this rare performance.
Rick
Donna - thank you, thank you, thank you....
After I asked if you would try and do this I felt a wee bit guilty about asking you to give up your enjoyment of this song for my enjoyment, but I am so glad you did. Believe me I have seen a lot worse (including some of mine - I usually forget and put my finger over the microphone). It certainly sounded as good as what I heard coming thru a concrete wall the other day.
The grin on my face right now is as big as the one I had on my face the other day.
Thank you, thank you....
Sandy
Awesome to see Doug and get to that song we rarely do.

It was a thrill for us, Joe. A real treat! Did you know that Doug and his new group, The Henthorn LLC, performed it on Friday night at The Rathskellar in downtown Indy? I figured he was warming up for Saturday!
...the best thing Zep' ever done! ...even with the poor sound quality sat here in respectful silence! ...shiver after shiver! ...well done Donna! ...thanks!
Fantastic! Hadn't ever seen that in concert before, so what a pleasure to see the video!
I only recall one other time of seeing it, at my first Joe concert at Mr Kyps in 2007? When Joe played it to the vocals of Blues Deluxe, 'Blue Tea' I believe it was referred as?

Excellent thanks for that. A real treat.
Thanks Donna. A real treat and a song I've always wanted to see live. I'm thrilled when I get a phone call from a show, and the audio is always challenging, so this is near perfect for me.
And, you'll never see film from me, NO skills. Cathy
Thanks for this rare treat, Donna! I know all about happening to be in the right place at the right time for a special capture.
I have been trying to get my son, who lives in Greenwood, into Joe for years now. Sadly, without success.
