Re: Internet radio

Phil,
I seem to recall this customized radio station from an old post...not sure.  Cool site.

I typed in Joe under artist and the first song that came up was Around the Bend.

Stu mentioned it before. This was a station that was threatened by the royalty fee issue. Thank goodness that didn't happen.

Re: Internet radio

Hey Victor,
Thanks for that info, glad the royalty thing worked out.  STU IS THE MAN, always been a great bonadude and a wealth of information!

Re: Internet radio

I had XM, but I am getting rid of it. You can do that on computer too.

The sound in my vehicle sometimes sounds like its being played in a tin hallway...especially the vocals. XM is built in my vehicle too, so there is no excuses there. Also, driving under underpasses on the highway makes the signal cut out due to 'line-of-sight' - just really frustrating.

I'm going to miss Bluesville but the rest I can say good riddance.

I was hoping XM and Sirius would merge faster, cause it would have been worth keeping for NFL games.

Ahhh yes, there is that annoying cut out when going under bridges, but I just finishedan 1100 mile drive and it was awesome not having to search for new radio stations as you left one coverage area and entered another.

Re: Internet radio

thats true. I go from MI to WI very often.  It's nice to not have to change stations.

On the flipside, I do have an iPod, and could spend the same $12 a month on music I can keep.

Re: Internet radio

I get XM through AOL.com on their AOL radio even though they're not my internet provider any more.

Bingo. Even with my four gig nano, that's about 800 songs. When you hit shuffle, it's just like your own personalized radio station.

XM is not bad for finding new music though.  Without magazines, or digging on the net, its had to find new music. Will check out Pandora's box soon enough. funny amazon recommends cds I already have or based recommendation off cds i bought for realtives - like american idol cds...lol
