Topic: JB Tone Search

Lately ive been searching for a new amp, and Joe's tone and playing have been one of my greatest inspirations. Id love to go out and purchase an exact replica of his rig...if it was possible. Most of his amps are either very rare (van weelden) or very expensive. I have a budget of about $1000 and I was wondering if anybody knew of an amp that is both affordable and can deliver some JB tones.

DSL401 with a few good tube overdrive pedals in front will get you in the ball park

Why not look at a top of the line modeller?  Used Axe-FX Standards are going for less than $1000 nowadays.  Here is a 'tone match' I did of one of Joe's videos.  The first half is the original playing by Joe, the second half is the 'matched' tone on the Axe-FX...
