All I can say is...just from hearing 30 second clips, this is definitely different than anything he's done. Is August 21 here yet?

As Joe says in the promo quotes, there's much more emphasis on his voice. And boy has Kevin made Joe's voice sound sweet. The songs also seem much more orchastrated. I noticed there's a lot more acoustic than any previous album and the electric stuff isn't as hardcore either.
I too can't wait to hear the whole thing. Four more weeks...

Oh my, this is making me a bit anxious. Don't take me wrong, but "less hardcore guitar, more voice/ orchestral feeling, acoustic"...I know how well Joe sings, arranges, etc..and there is no bad Joe..but I hope there's a touch of of breath-taking electric guitar magic for "guitar wh*res" like me...........Cathy

Wow sounds EXTREMELY different. It sounds a lot like Rory Gallagher's "Wheels Within Wheels" album to me, if anyone has that.
Can't tell for sure how I'll feel about it, love the live "Sloe Gin." I too hope there is some guitar fireworks. I'm sure there will be. I mean it IS Joe Bonamassa!!!! Excited to hear the whole thing, it's always tough to get much out of 30 second clips. Very different sound though.

It's taken me until 12:44 a.m. to finally get to listen to these clips and my frustration & stress level was rising........but then I heard that sweet sound of Around the Bend and everything melted away.........I ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY LOVE EVERYTHING I HEARD!!!!!

AAAHHHHH I cant listen. I have a mac and its only on Windows media player-----I have the latest version available for mac...but it STILL wont let me listen.

Loved everything I heard, even 30 secs worth you can tell that this album is something special. I can't wait to hear Sloe Gin in all its 8 glorious minutes.

What a great way to start off Friday by listening to clips of Sloe Gin. First impression is similar to many already who have posted. I think One of These Days is going to really be a rockin song. Another Kind of Love sounds like an early Joe song, kinda edgy, which is good. Black Night at the ends seems like it goes up several notches to a good bluesy rock standard. Needless to say 30 second clips just are teasers, so will have to impatiently have to wait for the release date.
Total length of the CD is 48:36.

Samfrei- I have a Mac and it plays for me. Send me an e-mail if you can't get it working. Great description dazee- Sloe Gin is a tease, it sounds great! Cathy- sit tight girlfriend, Joe is full of surprises...the man has to work his creative spirit or he'll burn out.

I dont know about the rest of you, but my eyes lit up, been dying to hear some of it, I caught myself watching the time, thinking "not now, just give me a little bit more".
