Snow melts, spring approaches and Joe Bonamassa is coming to Moscow once again!
The sound is excellent (well, the hall is not perfect, but I think it's the best I could get). I was sitting very close to the stage (6th row) and you can hear some kind of a stereo on the recording.
Also there are few of my photos from the show in the torrent. Fell free to create an artwork.
And by the way: how many Led Zeppelin quotes can you find?
Please don't ask me about other shows, I visited only this one.

Annoyingly there is a glitch in the first song where I had to get up to let someone to their seat - I must have a loose wire... In flac format converted from wav after high pass filter to remove the over the top bass. I've been too lazy to split the songs out so it's in 4 sections. If anyone has a set list I can add then please let me know.
Enjoy...
Hi Harkers
Thanks very much for posting your recording of the BIC 30/3/12 show. Unfortunately I didn't make the gig this time round so nice to be able to listen to the show after the event.
Shame that the volume was too much for your mics as there is some bass distortion evident during the LOUD bits. Still, this is well worth having as it seems that recordings of this UK tour are few & far between at the moment.
The set list for the BIC show is:
Slow Train
Last Kiss
Midnight Blues
Dust Bowl
Who's Been Talking
Sloe Gin
The Ballad of John Henry
Lonesome Road Blues
Song of Yesterday
Further On Up The Road (w. Bernie Marsden)
Blues Deluxe (w. Bernie Marsden & Rus Scagell)
Guitar vs Drums
Young Man's Blues
Woke Up Dreaming
India / Django / Mountain Time
Driving Towards the Daylight
Just Got Paid / Stratus / Dazed And Confused / Tal's Drum Solo
Cheers!
Thanks CuztardPi
I spent last night splitting the tracks so will have a proper set of tracks for you soon. It's not my best recording for sure - I'm getting lazy and just used the mic socket rather than my battery box and line-in. Where were you hearing the distortion? I'll take a look and see if I can calm it down (but not sure I will be able to do too much as if the signal is distorted then so is the wav.
Cheers

Hi Harkers,
To answer your question: The distortion is there more or less any time there is a bass drum playing; though the left channel is much worse than the right; as a bad example you can hear it clearly on the the last track = Just Got Paid medley.
Shame about you not using the BB & Line-in as that would surely solved the overload problems (that's exactly my set-up using my Zoom H2 & external mics). I guess the bass level was just slightly too much for the mic input on your recorder ... hence the distortion .. though I have heard a lot more badly distorted recordings over the years for sure.
e.g. The 1st time I used my Zoom H2 (at a UFO concert at The Brook) was a disaster due to high sound pressure distortion from overloading the line-in input. I now use a 12dB in-line attenuator between my mics & the Zoom to reduce the level in to the line-in & stop any distortion.
Out of interest what recorder & mics do you use?
Nevertheless thanks for sharing.
Cheers - Steve
Not a torrent'er,but if anyone taped the Blackpool show, this bud would appreciate a cd copy? My pc is SOOOO slow,i don't have the speed or IT gubbins to be able to do it,no matter how many times i get instruction from you guys. Jane H sent a few over, others have done too,i have some older shows and lots of Wishbone Ash to trade .Cheers.

Thank you - beautiful sound.

If you don't mind me asking, what gear are you using to capture with?
It sounds darn good on my Klipsch s4 ear buds, good bass.

Tascam DR-40 with AT-943 mics with phantom power into the XLR jacks. I use an Energizer XP 18000 battery supply because the phantom power really is a drain on the best internal batteries, but barely makes a dent on the 18000 after a 2+ hour show. Its a bit of a pita with wires all over, but havent found a better solution.
I clip the mics to the brim of black baseball cap and run the wires over my ears and under the temples of my glasses which keeps them pretty much out of the way.
soundprofessionals.com...no relation...seems to have the best prices and service.
I was 6th row center for that show, and had a couple of screamers behind me and to the sides. Im not sure if a wind screen would have helped with that or not. I just ordered a pair of AT screwon windscreens that dont block the front element. I'll let you know how that goes after 3 Roger Waters shows!

Looks like a nice all in one solution. Im still searching for that perfect video solution for stealth situations.
Thanks very much, Warren - first time I've seen a download via Skydrive for music !!

Look into finding a Lumix SZ-7. They are an older model but available. This model has a superior low light capability and the newer models don't. 760p hd and stereo audio with great dynamic range that handles loud venues without distortion. Size of a pack of 100 cigs with 25-350mm zoom. Even if the camera nazis bust you, you can leave it running and get the audio. Check my yt channel for examples, there are near 100 all shot with that camera.
