Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

Just heard the studio version of Driving Towards The Daylight on Joe's show. Excellent tune, and I couldn't help seeing him on stage doing this, in my mind's eye. I'm sure the short solo will eventually grow in future live shows. smile

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

Joe just keep picking great tunes for the radio show. I don't think he's capable of doing a bad show, either live or on the radio.

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

I missed the show and it sounds like another dandy, sad but the listening party on FB clan that meets every weekend was all atwitter about Joe announcing a 5 month hiatus from the normal tour schedule! I guess he will be doing studio work and maybe a mini tour but stand by for a Bonadrought. On the bright side, BCC3, maybe another Beth Hart collaboration and who knows what other gems will feed our need. smile

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

After he's done touring Europe in July, it looks like there will be a 3 month break, then he does another US Tour in the fall, with Dallas being the 2nd show!!

I missed the show too Rick. I bet we get something good from this hiatus! BCC3 sounds good.

Remember that if you missed the show, you can catch it On Demand--link to last Sunday:

http://player.planetrock.com/?odCat=53&odItem=10337

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

Well, Joe usually has some great ones and some off the wall ones. Today, Bowie's BFB was a bit much. Never been a Bowie fan and that was one of his lesser, to be kind, efforts. The rest of the show was great.

How long after the show is the on-demand available? I was out and missed it.

I'm listening now.  My experience is that the latest show that's available appears in the dropdown when you click on Joe after opening the player--usually within a few hours of that show's end.  For me, the 12:00 Noon local start (Midwest/US, CDT--UTC - 6 hours, where you are UTC+1) of the live broadcast isn't always workable.  I just check in say 3-4 hours later, to catch the On Demand.

So you should be able to get to it by now, I would think.

EDIT:  To add that it appears that links that originally opened an older show seem to get stuck at "Loading" in the player.  But by going to the Planet Rock page and selecting on demand, you can access the lastest, once it's up.  (I've learned what I know from seeing posts here, and playing with the player/links.)

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

I've been trying to find "Stones In My Passway" for some time now! Can you specify which Friday show it was played on?

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

It was also played just before Joe's show yesterday at about 1755 or thereabouts. Use the same search but for the hour before. It's a Ledbelly track.
