Topic: NGD: ES-335 (for wife ;) )

Lots of hoop jumping, but have it my... ahem... I mean "her" hot little hands well in advance of the M&G next Saturday.

Here's some quick pics.

The whole thing, hanging on the wall: http://kestrou.com/images/es335-1.jpg - love the tulip tuning keys

Just the body:  http://kestrou.com/images/es335-2.jpg - great job on the tobacco sunburst (which is replicated on the back) and love the binding on both the front and back (extra classy touch).

The bridge and controls:  http://kestrou.com/images/es335-3.jpg - strings are top-wrapped, but saddles for the three highest strings aren't nylon, and the controls are an odd mismatch (not the usual combination, these are three reflectors and one top hat).  All the hardware looks slightly aged.

Anyways, tickled pink!!!

Wow, that's really nice.  I've been talking myself out of buying one of the new 335's but the more I see them the more I really like them.

I'm pleasantly surpised with the neck - I wear "big mittens" and love a meaty guitar neck and this delivers!

The one reason I was daring enough to buy this without playing it was because the advertisements quoted Joe as saying it was nearly a 59 neck - and I am summarily impressed that it is. wink
