Topic: "Three Times a Fool" tone

I love Joe's take on the song. Mr. Bonamassa, would you mind sharing what gear you used on it? If not, does anyone else know? It sounds like a B.B. King tone just a bit more overdriven. Maybe a 335/Lucille into a Marshall. It's a really great sound, and Black Rock is just an all around great record, as are Dust Bowl, John Henry and both Black Country Communion albums.

Thanks,
Jedi Rabbit

P.S. I'm sure Joe's other records are great too, but I haven't listened to them yet.

Re: "Three Times a Fool" tone

He used the same amps he used for the 2010 tour ... jubilee cat5 twinkeland and carol-ann.

However I remember him saying in an interview he had a Marshall FULL stack and he plugged into the bright channel or something for a few songs

Re: "Three Times a Fool" tone

The tone of the song on the record is great. Similar to Sweet Rowena tone. My guess would be some old Fender amp.. Who knows for sure.
