Re: the hoax

Holy Cow!! Jeff, I am amazed! I am so glad to see the band because I wasn't seperating the 2 guitar players in my brain. Both so talented! Great band. I love an animated Bass player. I haven't done 1/2 of what I planned over the last few days because I'm an addict!! What went wrong? Why did they end?   Anyway, Thanks so much, Cathy                                     Shred..You ALWAYS make me smile!!! PS Jeff, LOVE the Superman avatar!!!

Re: the hoax

The Hoax broke up in part due to lack of success. The couldn't make enough money to keep it going. I think Jon Amor also wanted to branch out with his music. He has released several CD's and found his own sound. His CDs are great but sound nothing like The Hoax.  My favorite Hoax song is "Don't Shake My Hand" done LIVE!! Hugh's vocals with Jon and Jesse's outstanding solos make that song a classic. You can sure tell it's the Hoax tribute to SRV's Tin Pan Alley.

It's a shame  more people didn't hear The Hoax when they were still together. I would have loved to have seen them live. Very few bands can match The Hoax  for live preformances. They energy and sound live is simply amazing.

Re: the hoax

HF. 'DSMH" Live is my favorite too! 2 different guitar players each with a killer solo!! I'd put out effort to make it to a reunion show!!! Some bands are like that, they are best as a "soup" instead of seperate ingrediences. The problem is they were ahead of their times! They would kick butt at today's blues festivals!! Cathy

Glad you liked the videos. Knew you would. (Thanks David I for the duplicates) The Superman reference came from a writer in our local paper after Joe played last week. His best line is my sig. The avater I stole (borrowed) from someone else here on the board.

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world

Re: the hoax

Hey Jeff, I know! Read the review. It was a great analogy! I don't know how to do any tricks, but I think it's cool! It was Photo-Gal I believe.......Cathy

Re: the hoax

Mary, You are SO clever! I thought Jane had a superman guitar on her's until I put on my glasses! LOL       Cathy

Re: the hoax

I thought it was a Superman guitar too. What is it?

One thing that always puzzled me was why Tarzan didn't have a beard.

Re: the hoax

Thanks Mary. After the Pittsburgh show and the write up I had to use it.

Re: the hoax

Just discovered the Hoax on youtube. Heard about them alot but hadn't tried to search for anything.

WOW I am completely blown away. Does anyone know where you can buy any of their CD's? I really want to get Live Forever, I've searched iTunes to no avail. I live in Australia so it won't be in any shops here but I'm happy to buy online if someone can point me to somewhere where its available.

Thanks guys
Jess

Re: the hoax

Jess, I'm with ya on this!!! I'm still upset that they ended before I ever heard of them. The best shot at getting a copy of Live is to e-mail our friend Pittsburg Jeff. Occ. items do come up for sale on e-bay, but I've not seen Live. I've asked for copies of other Hoax CD's from another forum friend in Europe. Thank God for forum friends. Cathy

Cathy, go to Amazon they have Forever Live in stock for $18.99 as I post this. I got my copy a few months ago and I think they were out for awhile, but it's back in stock now.
