My friend Pierre and I did a cover of Further On Up The Road (guitar + singing).

I was going to write last night but it was just too late for me.

Looks like you had great fun with this. You are both great players and I enjoyed what you were doing.

Is Blues your normal thing? I just got the impression that maybe your regular music might be different. Don't know why. You were both quite 'busy' on guitar and I wondered if this was your normal style of music.

As for the singing, well you said it is early days. I thought you made a good job of it. Both of you. The vocals didn't come through soo well, but thats guitarists for you........not always there first priority.....the vocals ist it? smile

What made me check out your post was that I performed this as well live on Saturday - unplugged, so it was a fresh theme for me. Its a great song I've always liked it. My favourite version is Claptons live from 'EC Was Here'.

Hansamike, I've been playing the blues for 3 years now, since I begin the guitar. However, now I try to play some other things like a little jazz rock or in the style of Andy Timmons wink. But I learn a lot with the fantastic SRV. And I don't stop to play Joe Bonamassa!

most excellent guys, welcome to the forum. yeah, the vocals need a little work but that can come later. Pierre, you might want to check out Robben Ford or Renegade Creation for some blues/rock, blues/jazz type stuff since you like Andy. You two will enjoy the gear section here as well, good to have you.

Hansamike, you're right, I usually play guitar instrumentals such as Joe Satriani's and Steve Vai's music. But sometimes, I like to play something else. I really fell in love with blues music and yes, I'm a big fan of Joe Bonamassa !
