Topic: Allman Brothers

Check out the Allman Brothers Live At Jazz Fest 2007. Chuck Leavell is a special guest artist on Jessica and The Weight worth the price of the cd just to hear his solo on Jessica. Also Susan Tedeschi and Warren Haynes trading lead vocals on The Weight. You can get it at JazzfestLive.com

Re: Allman Brothers

Chuck Leavell is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.  I had the chance to  be backstage at a Government Mule show and he told some of the best stories (45 minutes worth) and was such a warm, genuine human being.....needless to say, helluva' keyboard player!  I will never forget his stories about George Harrison, Keith Richards, and Mick Jagger.  He does a pretty funny imitation of the latter two.  And I love the Allman Brothers, too.  Gregg's voice is another one that is in my Top Ten.  Thanks tarus52 for the posting.   Patty

P.S.  Gregg's got some great hair, too!  lol

Patty - If I ever meet you in person, you will have to tell me Chuck's stories about Mick and
Keith.  I never met him in person, but we had front row seats for a Stones concert once -
I threw Mick a pair of red thong underwear - he picked them up and proceeded to throw them
to Ronnie - who threw them on top of Charlie's cymbals.  Mick never even looked at me,
but Chuck did - he burst out laughting and gave me the "thumbs up".  Fun night!  Jaci
