Topic: New pickups for my Les Paul

Got this beauty for 300.00 off Austin Craigslist. I bought a Seymour Duncan 59 ( for the neck )  and a Seymour duncan Screamin Demon ( for the bridge ) and had a pro shop install them for 35 bucks, not to bad. It sounds AMAZING, wasnt expecting such a drastic change, here is a pic of it before http://i1245.photobucket.com/albums/gg6 … PX0016.jpg     and after  http://i1245.photobucket.com/albums/gg6 … PX0076.jpg

$335 bucks goes a long way in Austin!

Re: New pickups for my Les Paul

Sorry, I posted this right before i went to bed. It is a 2002  made in Korea Epiphone Les Paul Plustop. I didnt see that i didnt say Epiphone. The neck pickup was $46.00 used on ebay and the bridge was $75.00 brand new off ebay. Not to bad for a 10 year old guitar

Re: New pickups for my Les Paul

That's an awesome looking Epiphone!!

Re: New pickups for my Les Paul

Thank you, it is, isnt it. I was really suprised when I i got it . I didnt get to play it or anything before i bought it. I live about 130 miles from Austin so i asked my brother to go test it, and buy it if he liked it, he lives ALOT closer than i do. It plays so nice I couldnt believe I i got it for 300.00.. With the S.D. pickups it sounds so awesome. Im in love with it. I couldnt believe it was 10 years old, I got lucky

Re: New pickups for my Les Paul

A good set of pickups really makes the Epiphone Les Paul come alive. AND those guitars are very road-worthy!
