Topic: Eric Steckel's European/American Tour...

OK Everyone, please listen to this...

Just got a private message from this very young Monster Player with a great voice known as Eric Steckel. If you know anything about Eric, you know that he is already a huge talent with a future that really seems totally unlimited. Not many young players nowadays blow me away, but Eric is most definitely an exception to that rule and I have yet to see him live! He asked if I would post his dates here because, he knows how popular and fantastic Joe is and what type of great people show up for him. So here are Eric's dates per him...

April 26th -- European Tour Rehearsals - Amsterdam
April 27th -- Woetsjtok Music Club - Brunssum, NL
April 28th -- The Gompelhof - Lommel, BE
April 29th -- Blues Moose Festival - Groesbeek, NL
May 1st -- Q-BUS Musikhaus - Leiden, NL
May 2nd -- BluesMoose Radio Promotional Concert - Groesbeek, NL
August 11th -- Musikfest - Bethlehem, PA
August 12th -- Musikfest - Bethlehem, PA
August 31st -- Stanhope House - Stanhope, NJ
September 1st -- Stanhope House - Stanhope, NJ

October -- November 2012 - Eric returns to Europe and the UK for round 2 of the 2012 Blues Tour.

The Bluesmoose Fest on 29 April is in my calendar for months: Eric Steckel, Ben Poole, Hokie Joint, Haze & Horns, Ryan McGarvey and Henrik Freischlader. (Can you see the big fat grin on my face?)
Just marked my calender for May 2 at Groesbeek.

We had a sole, UK date for Eric - Hartlepool, May 12th. It's listed on the venue's site - is it still going ahead do you know?

Edit/update:-

From the looks of it, it appears that Eric's gig at Hartlepool has been pulled. Tommy's dropped it from the schedule and Eric's site has the European tour finishing in Amsterdam on May 3rd.

Shame - I was looking forward to seeing this guy. Hope he looks this way next time round and that there are a few more UK venues to make it worthwhile.

Hi,
I saw Eric several times.Now on this tour 2 times last saturday at the Gompelhof Mol and last sunday at the Bluesmoose festival in The Netherlands.
He have a new band this tour withRick Prince on Bass and Andrew Haley on drums.
He's a hell of a guitarplayer and i like his gigs a lot.Now he returns back to more bluesy sonngs.That's also the name of the tour."Back to the bluestour".

I was hoping to catch Eric later this month here in the UK, but the gig has been cancelled. Would have given me an awkward choice if it was still going ahead as Virgil & The Accelerators are playing nearby on the same night.

Really hope Eric & his team try again in the UK.

Just received a PM from Eric with this video link from his current 2012 Tour. The first 40 seconds or so, are the Guy's relaxing after the gig. After that, you had better pull your belt a little tighter, so your pants and socks don't get blown off! wink

I saw Eric two times during his European tour last month.And he was a lot better than in 2010 when i saw him for the last time.
Hope to see him back in Europe round oktober,november this year.
