Topic: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Hi everyone -

I started a new website, www.JoeBonamassaGear.com, which I know for most people on this forum, will have information that you are already familiar with. But for so many newcomers and searchers for what kinds of things Joe uses, plays, etc, I thought it would be a good informational site to have. I'm also trying to teach people about alternative equipment for the budget conscious - since I know that topic comes up quite often too.

If you would, please give it a visit, and let me know if you have any suggestions and/or comments. It will be updated and grow as time goes on, but for now hopefully I got most of the major stuff.

Also, since I know some are also Mayer-fans, I have launched www.JohnMayerGear.com, with the same idea in mind.

Take care!
Wasatch

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Very cool! I think Joe actually uses a Boss Rev-5 for his reverb though.

Thanks both of you. You're right on the reverb - Thanks!

Would love to hear comments and suggestions from others!

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

would be awesome if Joe could chime in and say what his settings are for all of his amps and effects wink

also: He uses Lehle amp switchers too.

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Good job!

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Should stick one of the Rig Rundown videos on there in the media section. As he really goes into detail about his gear on those videos smile

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

That's a great site - well done on all the hard work getting that information together.

I would imagine that it would be a constantly changing site too, given the frequency at which Joe experiments and swaps out his gear... big_smile

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Very cool. Nicely done.  Some pedal suggestions:

H&K Rotosphere (currently used)
Korg G4 (previously used)

Guyatone Flip Tremolo (previously used)

Man, there's more than a couple vids of Joe on YT giving rig rundowns from different eras. Just go watch 'em all, with a pad & pencil!

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Very.........very cool. You have done us fanatics a great service.

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'll look into some of those other pedals. I'm trying to keep the site more in line with what he's mainly using recently, but it would still be helpful to have other pedals he's used in the past, especially if they can be linked to a specific song (which can be difficult).

I appreciate the enthusiasm - hopefully it can stand as a solid single-source for people who want a rundown of his gear (besides those already found on YouTube), etc. The real thanks goes to Joe for being such a great artist, in sharing his setup so frequently with us. No secrets, just answers. It's great!

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

In Geneva this year: Lehle Parallel, Whirlwind Selector A/B Box, Wah, Fuzzface, TS808, MXR Micro Flanger, DD3, Korg ToneWorks G4.
So you should add at least the Lehle Parallel, MXR Micro Flanger, and the Korg ToneWorks G4. And don't forget the Theremin.

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

A good start, but you need more detail maybe and MORE guitars to appeal to us gearheads (lol)! Maybe you could ask for permission to use the pics from his Guitars of The Week?

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Nice work!

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Just had a chance to check this out, pretty sweet!

I'd like to read more on his poweramp and preamp tubes, as well as the speaker cables between his heads and cabs, and the patch cables in between his pedals...

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Very cool, nice work!  Glad this was bumped up since I missed the initial post.

Re: JoeBonamassaGear.com launch

Nice! Might be good to post some amp and pedal settings, signal chain order, and pickups/specs/cabling etc...
