Re: What Telecaster to buy?

Kind of a longshot since they are no longer made, but if you can find one they're awesome.
It's American Ash Telecaster, also known as the 8502.

They were made between 2003 and 2007, came in either blonde or 2-tone sunburst. It's a variation of the 52 reissue, has a U shaped neck. The pickups sound close to Nocaster, but a bit milder.

I adore mine, it's my absolute keeper.

Have a listen to that. It's absolutely fantastic! They are insanely light (some under 6lbs).

Re: What Telecaster to buy?

Thank you all for giving me your tip. I'm close to decide and a Anderson Hollow short T is the leading horse. It has tv3 bridge, va7 middle and va7r neck pickups. 24,75" scale length and tonechamber is supposed to give this guitar more resonance and 'body'. It has a 11-49 string setup. It's not as twangy as a Fender Tele. Haven't tried it, but a high end guitar shop in Norway can send it to my and also offer 14 days open return.

Anyone out there with experience with Anderson guitars?

Re: What Telecaster to buy?

Never played one myself but I hear they are fantastic!  I don't think this really sounds like a telecaster though.  Its that 24.75 neck length that I worry about.  You just can't get spank from them, but my guess is it will sound really warm like a Gibson with more clarity due to the fact your not using humbuckers.
