Re: Sloe Gin , Sloe Gin

Hmmmm August the 21st eh? I think that's the day which my GCSE results are put out so the new blues CD could be quite topical. The bottle of whiskey might also come in handy lol.

Don't worry, i won't actually be drinking any as i am only 16 ¬_¬

Re: Sloe Gin , Sloe Gin

Oh Michael,
Now wouldn't that be fun to have a Sloe Gin party?  I have not had any Sloe Gin since my highschool days (we could easily afford it) but we would get so, so sick on it..........hadn't really thought about that until now.....oh me, oh my.......Cheers!    Patty wink

Patty you brought back a fuzzy memory of going to Winterland in SF one night to see Ten Years After and getting so hammered on sloe gin I had to close one eye to see just one Alvin Lee on stage. Come to think of it that was about the last experience I had with that devil in a bottle. Do they even make that stuff any more?

Must be something about Ten Years After - I saw them about the same time
in Oshkosh, WI - can't remember what we were doing, but I was sick and had
to leave after 3 songs.

Re: Sloe Gin , Sloe Gin

That's a tough one Jaci, but believe it or not a buddy of mine was lucky enough to score a ticket to see Blind Faith the only time they played the Bay Area in Oakland. Unfortunately he got so wasted in anticipation that he wound up in the bathroom blowin' groceries and passing out before they even hit the stage and woke up after it was over in the first aid station. Needless to say he never lived that one down.

That would be hard to take - I don't know who was more wasted in those days, the fans
or the bands.   I'm sure I saw lots of concerts that I have no memory of - unless I took
pictures or kept the ticket stub....  things have changed for the better I guess.
