Topic: Smokin Joe (not Bonamassa tho)

The amazing 20 year old smokin Joe Robinson whose finger picking skills have led to him being likened to Tommy Emmanuel and who won 'Australias Got Talent' has picked up a Strat and a Plectrum and started singing.

This bluesy pop/rock ditty contains some pretty impressive playing and is very catchy (if a little cheesy).

If he decides to stay in this arena, then he has the playing skills to walk all over guys like John Mayer.

If you've not seen him on acoustic then check him out - he is a serious talent !!

Re: Smokin Joe (not Bonamassa tho)

Saw him about 2 years ago live and he definitely is amazing.
Wished his style were more blues influenced. Hard to put a stamp on his style. At the moment the music on his CDs is not my cup of tea. But someone I want to see again.

He's in Europe on tour this month. I haven't made up my mind what to do on 27 April when Joe Robinson will play not too far away in Kaarst. Have to decide between Kris Pohlmann and Todd Wolfe. But actually I'm hoping that there could be the first gig of Ryan McGarvey's spring tour.
